Follow How many people does it take to open one Like Bricks location? We decided to count. The answer surprised even me: 152 PEOPLE. Our new flagship Like Bricks at Ibn Battuta Mall is now open, and looking at the finished space, it is easy to forget just how many people stood behind this one project. Designers. Engineers. Contractors. Consultants. Suppliers. Manufacturers. Logistics and shipping teams. Customs and delivery teams. Installers. Movers. Technicians. Mall Management. And, of course, our own Like Bricks team. 152 people, all contributing to one final result. For months, the project existed as plans, drawings, renders, spreadsheets, samples, shipments, approvals and endless WhatsApp chats. There were hundreds of decisions, thousands of tasks, changes, challenges, deadlines and plenty of moments when someone had to find a solution — quickly. And then comes my favourite moment in every project: The email from Mall Management approving the hoarding removal. For anyone outside the project, it is just an email. For everyone involved, it is a moment of pure excitement. Phones start ringing. Messages start flying. People congratulate each other because everyone understands what those few words actually mean: We made it. We are ready to open. And suddenly, what existed on paper for months becomes a real place. Today, when I walk through our new flagship and see children playing, building, climbing, exploring and discovering our City of Bricks, I don't just see a new Like Bricks location. I see the work of 152 people behind it. A huge THANK YOU to every person who contributed — whether you were involved from the first concept or joined us for one small but important part of the journey. Every detail matters. Every contribution matters.
