It has been this way since the 22nd of October, 2002, when the first Vapiano in Hamburg, Germany, opened its doors at the “Hohen Bleichen”. Two years later, the founders decided to set Vapiano on a world tour as a franchise concept. Today there are already 168 Vapianos in 30 countries on 5 continents, and many more international openings planned for the future. In cities around the world, people who meet in our relaxed setting share one important quality: the love of enjoying life and sharing spontaneous and genuine companionship. The long oak tables in the Vapianos are an open invitation to communication—with friends, family, or simply with other guests. Conversation comes easy in good company where all are talking, laughing, and of course, having a wonderful dining experience. Pasta, pizzas, antipasti and salads are ordered directly from the chefs at the individual stations in the middle of the Vapiano. The chefs prepare all of the dishes to order in front of the guests. Everyone can have his meal prepared to his own personal preference. Favorite dishes can be created, and then individually refined. The herb garden and the fresh herbs on the tables are not just for decoration, but to offer the special taste that every dish deserves. The guests will see how the pasta and dolci are made fresh each day in the glassed-in manifattura in the middle of each Vapiano. Our pizza dough, our sauces and dressings, and our pesto are all prepared in-house and guaranteed to be made of the finest ingredients. Every Vapiano all around the world takes care of producing its own food, for Vapiano does not have a central production facility. Those guests who want to enjoy an after-dinner coffee or drink can move from their table to the bar or the comfortable lounge. Thanks to the smart-card payment system, they just pay for their consumption at the desk when they are ready to leave the restaurant. Vapiano Opens in Kuwait

Last June 11, 2014, VAPIANO had finally opened in Kuwait at The Avenues Mall. It promises to bring its guests a special restaurant experience through its first ever branch in the country. Defining the future of “fresh casual dining”, this European chain has been praised by critics for its delicious menu, interactive atmosphere and innovative restaurant technology. The highly anticipated grand opening of Vapiano Kuwait was a highlight at The Avenues Mall, starting at 7:30PM. The event was opened by SunCity Ventures Chairman Mohammed Adel Fakhro, and hosted by Ascia AFK, one of Kuwait’s most prominent and influential Kuwaiti bloggers, with a huge fan base that extends throughout the GCC region. More than the opportunity to mingle with the Vapiano team and their favorite blogger, guests also enjoyed a Vapiano dance performed by the team,. synchronized pizza flipping show and the music of DJ Kade. Vapiano celebrates 10 Years of Freshness

Special birthdays provide special reasons to celebrate. They are rare and offer the occasion to reminisce and raise glasses with friends in toast. It was Vapiano’s turn to celebrate on 22 October, 2012, for that was the 10th anniversary of the firm’s founding. Vapiano honored its Vapianisti (Vapiano employees) and each guest and fan of the Mediterranean lifestyle with a big birthday party—and many large and small promotions that led up to the big day. Exactly 10 years ago Vapiano Hohe Bleichen in Hamburg opened and began writing the first chapter of a continuing success story. Vapiano has expanded since that day to four continents, 26 countries and over 100 Vapianos, and has inspired many thousands of guests with its Italian zest for life. Over 7,200 highly motivated employees world-wide work every day of the year for the satisfaction of these fans. The youngest member of the family is the restaurant in Belgrade, where, as always—whether it’s in Brisbane, New York, Dubai or Berlin—everything is prepared fresh, partly even in the glassed-in manifattura in the middle of the dining room. Vapiano will see to it that your favorite meal is cooked right in front of your eyes. “The 22nd of October will be a very emotional day for us. We have experienced the first 10 years with the best colleagues and guests that you can hope for, and we will have over 110 Vapianos in 28 countries and on four continents by then. We have big plans!” The first 10 years had to be celebrated at Vapiano, Bahrain City Centre Level 1. All around the world, many Vapianos invited their fans to a birthday party in the restaurants, raised their glasses and enjoyed the special 10-Years anti-pasti creations. A DJ provided the musical ambience, and the guests received a specially created cocktail which had been selected by the huge Vapiano Fan base on Facebook. Each week from August to the birthday was also led off by a “Tasty Monday”. Participating Vapianos surprised their guests with small birthday specials to accompany certain meals that were selected each week.
