LULU GROUP TO OPEN NUJUM AL AMERAT MALL EARLY NEXT YEAR

MUSCAT - With an objective to offer an innovative shopping experience, Lulu Group International will launch the ‘Nujum’ brand of shopping mall in Amerat early next year. Construction of the mid-sized community mall, being developed under the Nujum brand for the first time in Oman, has already begun. The Nujum Al Amerat Mall will be an innovative retail destination that embodies the aspirations of the community. The Nujum shopping mall brand, which is part of the Lulu Group, is already an established name in the hypermarket, supermarket and department store sectors across the region. Ananth A V, director, Lulu Group International, said, “With an investment of RO15mn, Nujum Amerat is set to create 500 to 600 direct jobs for locals. This is in addition to other indirect jobs that would be created by other service providers.” The Nujum Al Amerat Mall will have entertainment centres with family-oriented fun and leisure experiences, fine dining options, a selection of prestigious retailing brands for shoppers, and also Lulu Group International’s hypermarket and department stores. The mall’s family entertainment centre will accommodate 1,025sq m of activity space. Along with a six-lane bowling alley, the mall will have a six-screen cinema multiplex with 904 seats to showcase the latest blockbuster movies.
