APL is a Singapore based container and shipping company which was formerly called as American President Line ltd. The company was founded in 1848 and has successfully diversified its business operating through four major hubs in Heredia, Costa Rica, Tallinn Estonia, Chongqing, China and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Its mother company, Neptune Orient Lines was acquired by French line, CMA CGM in 2015. With its merging, the company estimated to reach the capacity of almost 2.4 million TEUs with 540 fleet vessels and a combined turnover around $21 billion.
