BurgerFuel Worldwide is a publically listed company in the New Zeeland Stock Exchange (NZX). The company opened its first store in 1995 in Auckland by Chris Mason. The company went public in July of 2007 and raised a third of a planned USD 15 million. According to NZX “BFW has four main areas of revenue: up-front franchise fees, on-going royalty fees, sales of certain proprietary goods and store income from company-owned stores.
