«شيك شاك» يفتتح فرعه الثامن في الكويت بمنطقة البدع

افتتح «شيك شاك» فرعه الثامن في الكويت بمنطقة البدع، ليصل العدد الإجمالي لسلسلة مطاعم شيك شاك في الشرق الأوسط 31 فرعا، وتأتي هذه الخطوة بعد افتتاح المطعم مؤخرا فرعا له في مطار الكويت الدولي والذي لاقى إقبالا كبيرا من الزبائن. ويشتهر مطعم شيك شاك بتقديم أشهى الوجبات، مثل البرغر الشهي المحضر من اللحم البقري الأنجوس الطبيعي 100%، والهوت دوغ المشوي، وبطاطا الكرينكل المحمرة، بالإضافة إلى الكاسترد المثلج الطازج، وغيره من الأطباق الشهية، ويتميز بالأجواء المرحة والخيارات المتعددة التي يوفرها لزواره، ما جعله المطعم المفضل لدى شريحة واسعة من الناس من مختلف أنحاء العالم. ويتميز الفرع الجديد في منطقة البدع بموقعه المميز في أحد أنشط المناطق وأكثرها حركة في الكويت، بالإضافة إلى أجوائه المرحة المثالية لتجمعات الأصدقاء والعائلة، وهكذا سيتمكن رواده باختبار تجربة مشابهة لتلك التي يقدمها شيك شاك في موطنه الأصلي في مدينة نيويورك. وستضم قائمة الطعام أشهر الأطباق الخاصة بشيك شاك والمفضلة في الكويت بما فيها شاك برغر، وشاك كاجودوغ وبطاطا الكرينكل والكاسترد المثلج. والجدير بالذكر ان جميع مطاعم شيك شاك يتم بناؤها بشكل فريد يتناسب وموقعها، وقد تم استخدام مجموعة متنوعة من المواد المعاد تدويرها والمستدامة في فرع البدع تماشيا مع مسؤولية المطعم تجاه البيئة، كما تم استخدام إضاءة الـ LED في جميع أنحاء المطعم، واستخدم الخشب المعاد تدويره من الأسوار الخشبية في مناطق الثلج في وايومنغ بالولايات المتحدة الأميركية لبناء الجدران، كما تم الاعتماد على الخشب المنشور المعتمد من قبل مجلس حماية الغابات في صناعة الكراسي والأكشاك، ويستقبل المطعم جميع الزوار من الساعة 11 صباحا وحتى الثانية بعد منتصف الليل طوال أيام الأسبوع. ويشتهر مطعم شيك شاك بتقديم أشهى الوجبات العصرية السريعة من البرغر اللذيذ والهوت دوغ والبطاطا المحمرة والكاسترد المثلج وغيرها الكثير، يعد مكانا رائعا للتجمع والتلاقي حيث تتوفر الأجواء المرحة والمأكولات الشهية والمكونات الطازجة البسيطة بأفضل الأسعار وبجودة عالية، وبداية من المكونات عالية الجودة والممارسات التوظيفية وصولا إلى المسؤولية تجاه البيئة. و«شيك شاك» هو جزء من مجموعة داني ماير يونيون سكوير للضيافة (USHG)، والذي يتضمن العديد من المطاعم الأكثر شهرة في مدينة نيويورك: يونيون سكوير كافيه، جرامرسي تافرن، ذا مودرن، وغيرها. وبعد افتتاح مطعم شيك شاك الأصلي عام 2004 في حديقة ماديسون سكوير بمدينة نيويورك، أصبح الآن لديه فروع عديدة في نيويورك وواشنطن وكونيتيكت وبنسلفانيا، بالإضافة إلى مواقع أخرى عالمية.

«وسابي»... يستقبل زواره بحلّة وقائمة طعام جديدتين

بحضور السفير الياباني لدى الكويت تكاشي اشيكي وملحق الشؤون الإدارية ريوسوكي هونغو، وكبار الحضور وممثلي الصحافة الكويتية، أطلق «وسابي» المطعم الياباني العريق حلة وقائمة طعام جديدتين كلتاهما مستوحاتان من التقاليد اليابانية الأصيلة. ويأتي هذا الإطلاق الجديد عقب إجراء المطعم لأعمال تطوير في الديكور وابتكار قائمة طعام جديدة ومميزة تتضمن الأطباق القديمة التي يختص بها «وسابي»، بالإضافة إلى تقديم بعض الأطباق الخاصة التي تلبي أذواق محبي الطعام الياباني. وللمناسبة، صرّح محمد نصّار مدير قطاع المطاعم بشركة «جود فود» بالقول «إنه لمن دواعي الفخر والسرور أننا استضفنا سعادة سفير دولة اليابان السيد تاكاشي اشيكي والوفد المرافق من الإعلام بمشاركتنا إعادة افتتاح مطعم وسابي الياباني العريق بحلته الجديدة، ونحن واثقون بأن وسابي سيحتفظ بمكانته كالاختيار الأول والأفضل لعشاق ومتذوقي الطعام الياباني. فعند زيارتك لأحد فروعنا فى كل من منطقتي البدع أو المهبولة، فإن مطعم وسابي الذي ينتمي إلى شركة (جود فود) هو بالتأكيد الوجهة الأفضل لتناول الطعام الياباني عالى الجودة». وتابع: «أضف إلى ذلك، فإن اسم المطعم مستوحى من وسابي، وهي النبتة الصحية ذات الجذور الخضراء السميكة التي تشكّل أحد المكونات الرئيسية في الطعام الياباني، ويتميز الديكور الداخلي لوسابي بإضفائه الجو الودود المريح بأسلوب راق ومتميز. وتلقي الأضواء الناعمة بظلالها لتعكس جواً فريداً من نوعه، إذ مع زيارتك للمطعم سوف يعتريك شعورا بالارتياح من الاستقبال الدافئ من قبل الفريق العامل فيه، لتبدأ التجربة بتذوق الشاي الأخضر العطري الذي من شأنه أن يعزز القابلية على تذوق الاطباق الشهية». وأردف نصّار مشيراً إلى قائمة الطعام الجديدة: «تقدم قائمة الطعام من وسابي خيارات غنية وكثيرة بداية من الحساء المقبلات اللذيذة، هذا بالإضافة إلى مجموعة متنوعة من السوشي التي لا شك من أنها سوف تناسب أذواق العملاء المتنوعة. وتتضمن قائمة الطعام مجموعة من الأطباق التي ابتكرت خصيصاً لوسابي من قبل الشيف مع لمساته العصرية وفيها أطباق من اللحوم، الدجاج، ثمار البحر والخضار، وكلها تتميز بأنها طازجة وتقدم بحرفية عالية وفق أسلوب ياباني لإغناء حاسة التذوق لديك». وختم نصّار: «منذ تأسيس وسابي في سوق الكويت، استطاع أن يحتفظ بمكانته بوصفه المطعم الياباني الرائد الأول في السوق، ويعمل بجهد لكي يبقى في الصدارة، حيث يقوم دائماً بتطوير عملياته وفق فلسفة تعتمد على معايير العراقة والأصالة والريادة ليكون الخيار الأفضل للعملاء. لقد استطاع وسابي أن يؤسس لمقاييس الامتياز وهذه العوامل مجتمعة تساهم في جعل تجربة الزوار في وسابي إلى ذكرى لا تنسى».

Hilton Garden Inn Muscat – Al Khuwair coming to Oman

Oman welcomes almost 3.5 million visitors each year and with Muscat’s expanding airport capacity, as well as the expected opening of the Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre this year, we look forward to supporting this growth and developing Hilton’s presence here.” Hilton Garden Inn Muscat will feature 232 guest rooms and occupy a prime position in the centre of the city. The city is a hub of global trade, with many corporations operating from Muscat, given its strategic location for the Arabian Pensinsula, Europe and Asia. Eng. In 2014 Oman’s total number of keys stood at 15,424. Kuwait to get first gastro burger restaurant

The Epicure Group, the food and beverage arm of The Sultan Group, has announced plans to open Kuwait’s first gastro burger restaurant in a bid to make it stand out in a saturated market. The firm has teamed up with Thomas Klein International (TKI), Dubai-based restaurant consultant, and Chicago-based architect PS Studio to create the interior design plans for the restaurant, which will open in Al Bidaa in December 2011. “Our role was to create a recognisable interior that will elevate the concept of a burger outlet to cutting-edge sophistication,” explained Daniel During, principal and managing director of TKI. The interior design concept for the restaurant, the name of which will be revealed soon, is derived from the layering of the food - the hamburger, its bun, and the vegetables and sauces in between. Plywood, constructed of different layers of wood laminated together, was chosen as the main material in the interior design of this establishment to signify the various layers of the burger. “We found that plywood is the ideal material to convey the concept and to bring the idea to life, as the layered wood palette allows for variety through colour and texture and can be processed beautifully,” said During. “Eating burgers should be an enjoyable experience, and therefore we decided that all the outlet’s finishes should be fun – with bright orange rubber floors, white and lemongrass walls, and highly visible graphics. The colourful logo will also be featured on the show kitchen wall to further strengthen the branding.”

New Kuwait contract for TKI

Dubai-based hotel and restaurant consultant, Thomas Klein International (TKI), has been awarded with a contract to develop two new restaurants in Kuwait for the Sultan Group. This is the fourth time that the two companies will work together. The two separate outlets will be based in Al Bidaa in Kuwait, and will be located adjacent to each other in a venue formerly occupied by Tumbleweed. The Sultan Group decided to expand its existing food and beverage offering by opening a third Pizzetta as well as a brand new restaurant concept called Pickles, in the earmarked location. Both casual dining restaurants are owned and managed by the Epicure Group, the food and beverage division of The Sultan Group. “Pizzetta is famous for serving the only grilled pizzas in the region, and although the new outlet’s design will be based on the existing concept to ensure continuity, we will be adapting the new restaurant concept by adding a few unique twists,” explained Daniel During, managing partner, TKI. “The second restaurant will be a ‘gastro burger joint’ serving burgers and sliders, and the concept revolves around the array of home-made pickles and radishes served as traditional condiments, hence the name Pickles. TKI will be responsible for developing the Pickles brand, to complement the fresh and modern logo, as well as the design of the restaurant.” Ahmed Al Bader, director and co-founder of the Epicure Group, said: “There is already an established burger culture in Kuwait, and that is why we want to introduce Pickles to the existing food and beverage offering.” “Currently there are many well-known burger brands, with approximately 200 different burger joints available in Kuwait, but we will be offering diners something very different by focusing on the freshness of the ingredients we use.”
