White Robata
Opening
On December 27th 2017 White Robata opened its doors as the first Robata restaurant in Kuwait. Robata, shorthand for Robatayaki is a Japanese term describing a method of cooking, similar to barbecue, where food items are slow-grilled over hot charcoal. White Robata takes international flavors and culinary influences to create original unique dishes. These dishes are constructed using multiple cooking techniques which are demonstrated in an open live kitchen, connecting customers to their food. Inspired by 1980-90’s Japanese Robot Anime Culture, White Robata is a contemporary mix of textures, materials and colors which is accented by the points of interest, created by genuine models and graphics of the famous 1980-90’s Robot characters. The varied menu consists of several sections; one of the most exciting is the Raw Counter, a modern take on the traditional sushi. This section consists of various fish and vegetarian Nigiri along with specialty dishes such as Seabream Ceviche and Wagyu Tataki. The extensive menu features a vast array of cooked/grilled dishes served sharing style to encourage our guests to try a dish from each section.
