AAW AND THE ATHLETE’S FOOT INAUGURATE NEW BRANCH AT THE PROMENADE MALL

Ali Abdulwahab Al Mutawa Commercial Co. (AAW) today inaugurated its 13th The Athlete’s Foot (TAF) store in Kuwait at The Promenade Mall, Hawally. The new store, occupying 129 square meters carries some of the world’s most renowned brands, including an extensive range of trendy athletic footwear and apparel in an effort to make customers the athletes of their passion, and put more style into their game. The inauguration involved a weekend-long engagement event held in-store at TAF. Activities included a life-size TAF shoebox for visitors to ‘leave their mark’ while browsing the collection in-store and Yousef AlZayed showcasing his football tricks for all to see. Deputy CEO at AAW, Khalid F. Al Mutawa said: "In a commitment towards product accessibility to all our customers, we at AAW today are proud to introduce The Athlete’s Foot at The Promenade Mall, the largest benevolence project of its kind in the Middle East, expanding our presence for the benefit of the Kuwaiti community." TAF stores can be found in The Avenues Mall, Discovery Mall, Al Fanar Complex, Gate Mall, Marina Mall, Sama Mall, Kout Mall, Souq Sharq, 360 Mall, The Promenade Mall, Flex Outlet Store, Al-Corniche Club, Mishref Co-Op and Kuwait International Airport.

It’s the new Athlete’s Foot

So today morning I received an email telling me that PUMA and Nike were both opening stores in the next few days and two images of the interiors were attached. After corresponding with the sender some more it turns out the stores were actually opening today and that they were in fact individual stores inside the new Athlete’s Foot in The Avenues. So for lunch I decided to pass by and check it out. The Athlete’s Foot store is located near Va Va Voom. The entrance is around two stores wide but the place is really deep. It’s not as big as GoSport which is humongous but its still around 3 to 4 times the size of Foot Locker. When you first walk in to the place its your typical Athlete’s Foot but after you climb a few steps the store gets divided into 3 smaller stores, a Nike store, a Puma store and an Adidas store (hey are separated by transparent plastic walls). The Nike section sadly is nowhere as big as the Nike store in the Mall of the Emirates but it’s better then nothing I guess.
